canyon still life

i still can’t quite comprehend how remarkable Zion is…

walls that no fortress could hope to compete with

a most unusual tree with blooms that echo trees in dr. seuss

such a small thing that holds up that bridge in the distance

on our last day in Zion we decided to hike from the start of the Narrows to the Visitors Center…my feet still aren’t speaking to me.

a squirrel’s eye view

life occurs in the most unusually beautiful ways

this definitely beats a day in 110 degree heat!

A photo from the TOP of Observation point. Yes that is Angel’s Landing on the right!

…And my mother just passed out

what?!? this isn’t a picture of a flower, it is clearly a picture of the ant on the flower sheesh…

this piece of sandstone is the remains of a Saharan Desert that existed over 250 million years ago…if the disembodied voice in the tram is to be believed.

at the end of this hike was a beautiful emerald pool…but to me the most remarkable feature were these tiny frogs nestled in/on the cracks of rocks by the water.

definitely not in Kansas anymore…@zion national park

time capsule: Istanbul 2010…getting back into that posting more than once a millennium habit.
